Gin review by Daniela: TOHI London Dry

Gin review of London Dry Gin by Ginday expert Daniela

I discovered Tohi Gin from Estonia at a trade fair and was immediately impressed by their London Dry Gin Ginger & Sichuan Pepper. Hence, I decided to go for it, and in addition – do a honest gin review!

The story of Tohi Distillery begins like so many gin stories. Three friends who love gin decide to make their own gin. In Estonia, vodka production has a centuries-old tradition. There were many so-called “vodka kitchens” on the large estates. One such former vodka kitchen on the grounds of the historic Tohisoo manor, 30 kilometers from the capital, Tallinn, is now the home of Tohi Gin. This, of course, explains the name.

Tohi London Dry Ginger & Sichuan Pepper Gin contains 13 botanicals, including juniper, ginger, and pepper, as well as lemon, star anise, licorice, cinnamon, grains of paradise, angelica root, cardamom, and hibiscus. The gin is based on an Estonian organic rye spirit.
